Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain various types of cabling systems, such as Ethernet, fiber optic, coaxial, and telephone cables, within buildings or data centers.
- Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to carry out cabling infrastructure layouts, ensuring proper network connectivity and scalability.
- Terminate and label cables, connectors, and wall jacks according to industry standards to ensure proper signal transmission.
- Use cable testing equipment to verify the integrity and functionality of installed cabling, and troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues as they arise.
- Install, organize, and maintain network equipment, including racks, cabinets, and patch panels, for neat and efficient cabling.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to maintain high-quality cabling infrastructure.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during cabling installations and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework in cabling and network infrastructure is a plus.
- Previous experience in cabling or network installation is beneficial.
- Knowledge of cabling standards and practices.
- Familiarity with cable testing tools and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
